Religion, Morals & Ethics

Birralee International School Trondheim is comprised of students and teachers from all over the world.
It is extremely important to promote international harmony, mutual respect and understanding, and to encourage high standards of ethics and values amongst staff and students alike.

Religions, Morals and Ethics give students rich opportunities to learn about themselves and about others.
It will stimulate their thinking and help them express thoughts and feelings. The students will be able to explore a range of moral and ethic questions through experience, study and discussion and develop an awareness of attitudes and values, thus promoting personal growth. Our aim is to foster openness, respect and understanding of religions and cultures and to encourage the children to reflect, discuss and share
ideas as well as promoting high standards of ethics and morals. Students will learn about the diversity of religions and beliefs in addition to the importance of Christianity in the Western civilisation.

The curriculum in Religion, Morals and Ethics reflects that Birralee is a multi cultural school. With so many children and parents from different parts of the world representing many faiths and beliefs, the children
will have rich possibilities to learn about each other’s cultural heritage. Several festivals are celebrated every year throughout the school. I addition to the whole school celebrations, each class will celebrate
other festivals that are relevant to the class. Sharing and caring, openness, understanding and mutual respect are the governing principles for this curriculum.
