Mrs Farstad has lived and worked in education in England, USA, France and The Netherlands. She has a teaching degree from Norway and has been at Birralee since 1990. Together with Mrs Talbot and Mrs Buller she held many courses for Norwegian teachers about teaching English to young children.

Mrs Mari-Ana Jones

Mrs Jones has a Bachelor in History from the University of York, Great Britain, and a teaching degree from the University of Exeter. Before joining Birralee in the summer of 2007, she was a teacher and the Head of the History department of a Middle School in Britain.

Mr Wilco Vanderkaaden

 


Mr Vanderkaaden joined Birralee in 2003. He has since then worked as a classroom assistant and playclub leader. Before moving to Norway he worked for ABN AMRO Bank in the Netherlands and India.

Mrs Rosemary Talbot

 

Mrs Talbot has been with our school since the beginning in 1974, when she was responsible for setting up the Infant Department. She has been a teacher in our Infant Department for over 30 years. She also held the post of Deputy Head for 28 years. Her main interests lie in the teaching of early reading and writing. She has a Teaching Degree from the University of London. Mrs. Talbot is also a member of the ECIS Accreditation team, in which she evaluates and accredits schools in Europe and the Middle East.

Mrs Sund has lived in Norway and in the United States, where she was a junior football trainer. She obtained her Teaching Degree from Høgskolen in Nord-Trøndelag. She has been involved in several big theatre productions with and for children. This is Mrs Sund's sixth year at Birralee.
