Pictures April 2008

Our annual Art Festival was held in week 16.

The students celebrated cultural diversity by ‘travelling around the world” in five days.
Each day was dedicated to one continent, and all the concerts, workshops
and activities were related to the continent of the day.

The school choir performed during the Opening Assembly.

On Monday the students "travelled" through Europe.
On this picture they are making traditional Norwegian biscuits for the whole school.

A workshop in Spanish Flamenco dancing.

Other students enjoyed a guided tour on the homeground of Scandinavia's best football team.

Tuesday took the students to Asia. All children in the school got to try some Japanese Sushi.

Cricket is the most popular sport in India.

Wednesday the children visited the Americas.
Some students helped to prepare a Mexican snack for the whole school.

Students performing their newly acquired skills from an Honduras workshop in an Assembly.

On Thursday the children visited Africa.

Puppet theatre.

The student press group did a great job in covering the event!

Sula Havleirskole, Wednesay, April 23rd 06.58 AM :
All going fantastically here, unbelievable weather, a spectacular and remote island, great leaders and
lots of fun activities. Yesterday we kayaked and rowed around the island and then spent the evening
zip lining across a little (but scary) valley from the lighthouse. Today we're off on a hike around the
island, working on our projects and visiting an islander's collection of washed up items from the last 50 years - sounds very interesting.
Got to rush, a hearty breakfast is calling!
