AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
Primary School Choir
Year 3 - Year 7 are welcome to join the Birralee Primary School Choir. Activities include songs and games, drama and movement. The choir performs in school assemblies and gives concerts for parents and others. The choir is also planning a bigger production at the end of the year. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday (14:30-15:15) in the music room. There is a small choir fee of NOK 750 per term.
Middle School Choir
Year 8 - Year 10 are welcome to join the Birralee Middle School Choir. We will delve into group singing, harmonies and solo singing in a variety of exciting and fresh genres. Students will also have the opportunity to produce their own performances by selecting and organising the repertoire providing a great sense of ownership and team spirit. Rehearsals take place every Wednesday (15:00-15:45) in the music room. There is a small choir fee of NOK 750 per term.
This academic year we are offering an after school Homework Club for our senior students Year 6 - Year 10. The students are welcome to join homework club from the end of the school day until 15:45. The students will be supervised in a quiet, orderly environment whilst they complete their homework.
Your child can attend on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. To sign up please complete the Sign up Form above. Please note that your child is not required to stay until 15:45 and may leave when they are ready. Only students who have been signed up can attend.
Y6 + 7
To fulfill requirements from the Department of Education for additional physical activity during the school day, the school day is extended for children in Year 5, 6 and 7.
Due to COVID-19 measures children must attend GO45! on the designated day for their cohort.
The physical activities will be varied throughout the school year and will take place in the gym* or outside.
The goals of Go45! are:
• To increase variation in the school day.
• To promote physical and mental health.
• To have fun with physical activity
• To give the students a sense of achievement.
• To improve motor skills.
• To include all students and give them the opportunity to participate regardless of ability.
• To provide an arena for social interaction and friendship between students from the different senior classes.*
Midtbyen Basketklubb is organising an after school club for Birralee students in Y1-Y8. Training sessions and detailed information will be communicated by the club leaders at the beginning of each new school year.
This club is not organised or supervised by Birralee.
