Dear students, parents and guardians,
Guri Melby, the Norwegian Minister of Education and Integration, announced during yesterday's press conference that the Norwegian Public Health Authorities have created a traffic light model with a green, yellow and red level. These levels show which preventative infection control measures the schools should follow.
Due to the low rates of infection in Norway, schools will be on a yellow level from next week (coming down from red). Tomorrow, the Norwegian Directorate of Education and Training will provide more information about which infection control measures schools have to implement at a yellow level. We will inform you of these changes next week.
Important practical information for parents and students:
Next week (week 23), school will run as in previous weeks while we start to implement the new changes. This means:
The same start/end times for our students as this week
The same entry/exit points to the school building and playground for our students
No parents or other visitors allowed on school premises
Students should not attend school or ASP if they have mild respiratory symptoms and should remain at home until they have been symptom free for 1 day.
Students who are in close contact with a member of a household with a confirmed case of covid-19 must be in isolation/quarantined. It is the health service that decides who should be in isolation and how long for.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
