I hope that your children have enjoyed the start of a new school year at Birralee, despite the stringent infection control measures that we have had to implement in our school.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding when it comes to having to stay outside the playground and school building, as well as adapting to the new measures that we have put in place for the staggered start times. We are continuing to be vigilant to keep the school community as safe as possible during this time. We will continue to keep visitors to the school to a minimum and to enforce our strict rules about who is allowed on the playground. Please continue to be supportive of the staff if they ask you to leave the playground - they just want to keep everyone safe. It is particularly important that we continue to maintain rigorous routines at school, since schools in Trondheim have already had cases of Covid-19, as you may have read about in the local newspaper. Although we cannot totally eradicate the risk for our students and staff, we are working hard to reduce the possibility of an outbreak. Thank you for your continued and valuable cooperation - do stay safe and look after each other! Best regards,
