About the position

​Start date: 01.08.2022

Type: permanent position (100%)

Working hours: regular working hours (37,5 hours / week)

 

Place of work: Birralee International School, Trondheim

Application deadline: 21.03.2022

​

The successful candidate will support students with special educational needs (SEN) and to deliver interventions in the school (with a particular focus on Years 1 to 5) in accordance with the published SEN policy and the requirements of Norwegian law.

We are looking for someone who will:

​

  • be responsible for student support

  • be responsible for delivering academic interventions

  • be responsible for student social development

  • work with students both inside and outside the classroom as is required

  • work with the SENCO to develop the provision for students with special educational needs and those students who require additional support

  • contribute to the development of SEN provision 

  • inform the SENCO of interventions and meetings in support of students with SEN

  • provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff and parents

Salary and benefits

The position is paid as a teacher according to the latest Hovedtariffoppgjøret (KS). The person hired will normally be paid from 451.600 to 652.900 NOK per year (for a full time position) depending on qualifications and seniority.

A 2% contribution to the Pension Fund is deducted from the salary.
