What is the best part of your job?

Welcoming new families to Birralee. The students are often very nervous during their school tour, it’s great to see them settling in with friends the next time we pass in the corridors.


Do you know all the students in the school?

Yes, all 290.


Where did you work before you joined Birralee?

Before moving to Norway I worked in HR. I was working for Ecolab.

What do you like best about Birralee?

The sense of community amongst the students, and my wonderful colleagues of course!


What would you be, if you hadn’t worked in a school?

I would work in TV Production. I think it would be really fun creating animation props for TV & Film.


What was your favourite subject at school?

Graphic Design, PE & Science.


What’s your best memory you have from going to school yourself?

I won the regional cross country running race and got my photo taken for the local newspaper, this made my mum cry which I was really proud of.

What was your most embarrassing moment at school?

It was always something silly, like calling the teacher mum.


What is the worst grade you got on a test?

D in a History test.


Which book should every student read?

No particular book, but one that makes them smile/laugh.


If you were the president of the world, what law would you introduce? No slow walking in the supermarket.


Have you ever met someone famous?

Mr & Mrs Nygård-Pearson! Have you ever been on TV?

I made a brief appearance on the news when Michael Owen & Kevin Keegan held a football training day at my high school.


What food do you like?

All food. Right now I’m missing home comforts aka The Chippy.


What is your favourite ice cream?

Peanut butter & chocolate chip cookie dough.

What songs do you like?

I like most music, my favourite band is Red Hot Chili Peppers.

What was the first movie you saw in the cinema?

The Lion King.

Do you have a pet or an animal at home?

No pets.

Do you play any instruments?

Does the triangle count?


What do you do to save the environment?

Recycle, Reuse, Reduce.


What is your favourite city in the world and why?

Trondheim of course, everything you could need and surrounded by nature.


How many countries have you been to?

16 - Australia (lived there for a year), Norway, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, New Zealand, Portugal, France, Spain, America, Czech Republic, Tunisia, Sweden, Thailand.
