About the position

​Start date: by agreement

End date: 30.07.2024 (with the possibility of an extension)

Working hours: 08:30 - 16:30. 

Type: 100% substitute position.

We are looking for someone who:

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about student wellbeing and have the ability to make a difference in the learning journey of our children.

Your responsibilities:

  • to work with the whole class, small groups of students and individual students as required;

  • to support the learning in the classroom;

  • to support social and emotional development of students;

  • to undertake duties;

  • to work in the After School Programme and in the Holiday Programme.

 

Your skills:

  • relate well to the children and have a passion to help them achieve academically and socially;

  • be patient, caring and have a determination to bring out the very best in children;

  • be able to stay calm and objective when presented with challenging behaviours;

  • be enthusiastic and motivated to improve learning outcomes;

  • be enthusiastic and committed to work as part of a team;

  • be able to work alongside the class teachers to improve learning and inclusion.

Salary and benefits

The position is paid as an assistant according to the latest Hovedtariffoppgjøret (KS). The person hired will normally be paid from 351.200 to 487.300 NOK per year (for a full time position) depending on qualifications and seniority.

A 2% contribution to the Pension Fund is deducted from the salary.
