About the position

Position: Facilities Maintenance Worker

​Starting date: 15.09.2025

End date: 31.07.2026

Temporary position (prosjektstilling) for this school year.

15 hours per week, flexible hours.

​

We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Worker to help with the daily running of our International School.  The position offers a variety of tasks and has flexible working hours between 07:00 and 17:00 on weekdays. The position is ideal for candidates who are practical and hands-on and who enjoy a variety of practical tasks. 

​

Working language: English.

Part-time position (15 hours per week, 40% position). 
​

Your responsibilities:

​

  • Ensure that outdoor areas are safe and well-maintained (incl. removing leaves, gardening, snowplowing etc).

  • Ensure that indoor areas are safe and well-maintained (cleanliness in common areas etc).

  • Conduct regular inspections of school grounds and facilities for safety and maintenance needs.

  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting.

  • Assemble school furniture

  • Manage and organize inventory of supplies and equipment

  • Assist in setting up and taking down furniture for school events and activities

  • Collaborate with school staff for special projects or activities requiring physical support

  • Serviceminded and can-do attitude 

  • Good humour

  • Dutiful and responsible

  • Ability to follow instructions and guidelines

  • Ability to work independently and goal-oriented 

  • Proficient in English (speaking and understanding)

Salary and benefits

The position is paid as an assistant according to the latest Hovedtariffoppgjøret (KS). The person hired will normally be paid from 397.000 to 528.300 NOK per year (for a full time position) depending on qualifications and seniority.

A 2% contribution to the Pension Fund is deducted from the salary.
