About the position

Working hours: 08:00 - 15:00 during term time. 

Type: 77% temporary position.

We are looking for someone who:

We are looking for a School Receptionist who shares our vision and is looking for a challenge to make a difference in our school.

This is a key role in receiving visitors, parents and students, ensuring they gain a positive impression of the school either in person or over the phone. Managing incoming enquiries in an efficient, helpful and friendly manner, and assisting with the general administration needs of the school will also be an integral part of the role.

The successful candidate will enjoy interacting with students, staff and members of our community. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Administrative and support staff are vital in helping every student achieve and thrive and this role is no different. The ideal candidate will be hard working, resilient, compassionate and eager to make a difference to the lives of our students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To be the first point of contact at reception.

  • Greet and assist guests, parents, students and other members of the Birralee community.

  • Schedule appointments and oversee school calendar bookings.

  • Deal with deliveries to the school.

  • Oversee supplies and inventory.

  • Perform administrative support tasks on a daily basis: scanning, filing and data-entry.

  • Handling of school deliveries.

  • Assist with other administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.

  • Support with the provision of medical attention to students who are injured or become unwell.

Salary and benefits

The position is paid as an assistant according to the latest Hovedtariffoppgjøret (KS). The person hired will normally be paid from 312.900 to 419.400 NOK per year (for a full time position) depending on qualifications and seniority.

A 2% contribution to the Pension Fund is deducted from the salary.
