Celebrating Friskoledagen in Trondheim

Today, Birralee joined other independent schools on Trondheim Torg to celebrate Friskoledagen — the National Celebration of Independent Schools in Norway.

With music, dance and short speeches, the celebration brought school communities together to recognise the diversity of education in our city. We also heard greetings from Mayor Kent Ranum and City Commissioner for Education Siv Mari Forsmark.

Trondheim is home to a range of independent schools, including Montessori, Steiner, Christian and international schools. Each offers a different approach, giving families meaningful choices within the Norwegian education system.

We were proud to represent Birralee and celebrate alongside students and staff from across the city. Friskoledagen was an opportunity to recognise both what makes our schools distinctive and our shared commitment to children’s learning and wellbeing.
