Art Contest for Biodiversity

The students of the Birralee Green Team are happy to announce the very first Birralee Art Contest for a Cause, with the theme Let’s Celebrate Biodiversity! This is a voluntary art contest, in which students can participate alone or in pairs by creating a piece of art inspired in Biodiversity. It can be anything: a drawing, painting, a piece of music, a poem, a dance performance etc…

Students will compete in different categories and there will be a winner in each one of them. If students choose to work in pairs they should therefore make sure that they belong to the same category!

Categories: Years 1 and 2, Years 3, 4 and 5, Years 6, 7 and 8, Years 9 and 10.

To take part in the competition, students should bring their artwork with a title to school before Friday the 5th of November. They should bring it to their classroom and give it to the Green Team in their classes.

All the artwork will be displayed during the Green Birralee Assembly on November the 8th and all the students at school will get to see it and vote for their favourite project in each category.

We will be looking for:

  • Originality

  • Potential to raise awareness about how important biodiversity is for us

All participants will obtain a certificate from school to acknowledge their enthusiasm and involvement in this cause. There will be first and second prizes for all categories, and winners will be announced on Friday the 12th of November through the school website and social media.

We are looking forward to a flood of creativity and care for nature at school!

Kindly,
