Dear Birralee Families,
Last week, we informed you about a positive COVID-19 case in the school. Since then, we have had several positive cases across the school. Parents and students of all these classes have been notified directly by SMS and email.
We are closely following the advice given by the Norwegian Health Authorities and we kindly ask you to continue to be vigilant with regards to any symptoms your child might have.
In addition to the general advice, as a school we have decided to offer a hurtigtest to all of our students. Today your child will come home with a hurtigtest, we encourage all students to take this (voluntary).
Students with symptoms
If your child has symptoms it is very important to book a PCR / saliva test (not the hurtigtest kit the school provides). Your child should stay home until their test results come in (within 24 hours),
If your child or household members experience symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, headache, lethargy, decreased sense of smell or taste, muscle aches or sore throat, please stay home and contact the corona telephone line, tel. 90 50 90 52 for advice.
Students who show any of the symptoms above while they are at school, will need to be collected by their parents as soon as possible.
