Switching Off to Learn, Our Green School in Action

We organized a ‘Dark Day’ as part of our ongoing work as a Green School.

By reducing electricity for the day, we raised awareness about energy use and the things we often take for granted. The day was organized by the students in our Green Team and is part of our broader plan as a green school.

We have attached this plan, showing how our green school activities link to our curriculum.

Y8 student-led escape room - The Year 8 Green Team representatives planned an escape room for their classes. Students took on roles such as an "environmental lawyer", "meteorologist" and "fossil fuel engineer" and were tasked with solving real environmental issues. Players worked together to navigate the dark and crack clues.

Year 5 - Year 7 Riddles - Green Team Representatives prepared a riddle scavenger hunt on the third floor which students solved in teams.  Can you crack this riddle?
