First Day of School
On Thursday 15. August Years 2 to 10 will assemble in the park at 8:30am with their new class teachers.
Absences
Should your child be absent from school due to sickness, kindly send an email to
y10absence@birralee.no before 9:00am to inform us.
Emails sent to this address will reach both the office and your child(ren)s class teachers.
More information regarding our absence policies can be found in our school policies.
Should you wish to collect your child(ren) from school during the day, please inform the staff in the office who will then collect your child for you. Kindly do not go to the classrooms yourself to pick up your child(ren).
School Health Services
Our School Nurse Gro Hatlen is available for students to meet on most days during the school week. Students are welcome to see her with any questions they may have without having to book an appointment.

School Community
Parent representatives (when elected) will be in touch with parents new to Birralee to include you in the Y10 parents social media group arrangement.
Parent Evenings
Parent Evenings take place twice a year. Parents are expected to attend these evenings as important information will be shared and parents will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Bus Card
Children who live more than 4 km (2 km for students of Year 1) away from school are eligible for a free bus card. Find more detailed information regarding eligibility and rules here.

After School Clubs
Birralee offers a wide variety of after school activities for students of all years. More information can be found on our website. Sign-up forms for clubs are often sent out within the first weeks of the new school year.
Lost and Found
Birralee has a lost and found section located in the basement. Kindly remember to label your children's belongings with their name.
